Dear St Nicholas,
You were most known for giving to those in greatest, and dire need,
In a way that was so generous, that we have made you the Saint of Giving.
Also you saved many sailors on the wild seas, and kept them from danger both
physically and spiritually.
Now, dear Holy Shepherd and Saint, protect the men and women who
Give their lives to saving the seas from deadly pollution, and who save, as
Sea Shepherds, the lives of God’s sea creatures so loved and valued, and in great
Danger by our care-lessness, violence and greed.
We ask you all this in the name of the Most Loving Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ Our Lord.

Artist Statement on Iconography �There is only Christ: He is everything and He is in everything." St. Paul, Colossians 3:11 I honor and revere the Byzantine icons and the profound spirituality of the Othodox churches. I try to bring true devotion and prayer into the process of writing an icon, dependent upon the inspiration of the Blessed Trinity, the saints, holy ones, and the Mother of God.
